A new sponsor

We have been a little bit slack when it comes to letting people know about our sponsors, something that we will be addressing over the next couple of weeks to bring you up to date.

To start off with, we’d like to introduce Best Service (Europe) Ltd, and especially a chap called Frank, who is the M.D. We met Frank over the phone one day when we were basically cold calling companies who had connections to data packages and the Antenna system that we need for the boat. He answered the phone and took some time to listen to what we had to say, and agreed to read some more information that we then emailed over.

Since then, Best Service has been exactly that. Frank has spent time sourcing the cheapest Antenna supplier (we hadn’t even heard of the brand), tried getting us discounts on prices for data bundles through work connections, offered to fit the system for us for free (they are based in Hull, we are on the South Coast) and asked if Best Services could include IOR18 logo as a signature on the bottom of their business emails to raise awareness and support. The time that he has spent helping us is outstanding, and there is more in the pipeline, but that’s for another blog…

We really appreciate all the help that we have received to date, both from sponsors and from people who have just wanted to help us make the row a success. We will try to thank you all as we go, but if we miss anyone out, please don’t think that it’s on purpose!!

Here are a few words from Best Service…

“As a business it’s important we support charities and even more so when we work in the luxury market of super yachts and other marine industries.

Young people are the future of any business and to support a charity which highlights that young people can have Parkinson’s disease and provide help and support for them is what our company stands for. Best Service provides help and support for the marine industry that need access to TV channels and the Internet mainly while offshore.

This is a fast changing industry where our engineers need to keep up to date with new technology.

By supporting Spotlight YOPD we are supporting the fact that people with Parkinson’s Disease still play an active part in the working world with help and understanding.

We help hundreds of Captains every week keep their passengers and crew happy by making sure they have access to the internet and TV. It’s great to help a worthy charity which can help create greater understanding in people”.
